WFDVisual.com contains a collection of images (“Images”) managed by Scotland & Northern Ireland Forum for Environmental Research (“SNIFFER”). Images are provided for use in the advancement of understanding and explanation of concepts and processes under the Water Framework Directive, subject to agreement with these terms and conditions.
1. You as a registered user of the site, by registering to open a WFDVisual account or downloading any Image agree to the following terms and conditions. Access to and use of the Images is contingent upon agreement to these terms and conditions.
2. All Images are protected by copyright. All rights are reserved. Further information on the copyright holders of Images can be accessed from the website Home page. WFDVisual.com (representing SNIFFER, the Environment Agency and the Geological Survey of Ireland) must be acknowledged in any use of the Image(s). Images may be freely downloaded and used for educational/explanatory purposes only. Acceptable uses include incorporation into PowerPoint presentations, posters and non-commercial publications. Images may not be used for commercial or for‑profit purposes without the prior written permission of the copyright holder. Permission should be sought by contacting SNIFFER. Commercial or for-profit uses include incorporation into journals, magazines, text books or other printed media that are sold for profit, web sites or other electronic media for commercial purposes, paid consulting work on behalf of non-profit or profit agencies.
3. Images must be returned to SNIFFER upon request and are not transferable.
4. You may not alter, manipulate, add to, delete from or enhance any Image by electronic or other means apart from re-sizing the Image or adding appropriate labels as outlined in the Style Guide provided. The Images must not be used in a misleading context.
